Rod magnets are one of the disc magnets with long, thin, round shape stick, some can be countersunk designed on both ends. They are built for high magnetic strength purpose in a compact space to magnetize those heavy-duty items. They are also widely used for separating metal powder(granulates, liquids, etc) and recycling magnetic materials in a pile of stuff as magnetic filter.

Small ball shape and magnetic beads are included. The surface of the rod magnet should be smooth and have little resistance under high Gauss(usually higher than 11000 Gauss and N42 magnetic grade), provided with excellent temperature stability and high residual induction. Its diameter is less than the length and does not generally goes higher than 20mm in diameter while length can any size, magnetism direction is mostly axially pointed.
